Rajkummar Rao is one such actor known for his commitment to breaking free from the norm and taking up diverse characters and unconventional storylines. Amongst a string of ground-breaking films he has been part of, there is ‘Newton’ (2017). The black comedy-drama co-written and directed by
Amit V Masurkar and produced by
Manish Mundra featured Rajkummar in the titular role of a government servant assigned to a politically sensitive area in India for election duty. The film will mark its sixth anniversary tomorrow.

Rajkummar, who was recently seen in Raj and DK’s ‘Guns & Gulaabs’, has two releases lined up next year. The list includes ‘Mrs And Mrs Mahi’ and ‘Stree 2’. He played the central character in the prequel of the horror-comedy ‘Stree’, which was released in 2018.
