Mithila Palkar joins 'Bhooth Bangla' as Akshay Kumar confirms she’s ‘not the bhooth but my sister’
Mithila Palkar is the newest name joining the much-awaited 2026 film 'Bhooth Bangla'. The movie has already generated massive excitement because it marks the grand reunion of Bollywood’s iconic duo Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after 16 years. Their past collaborations gave fans some of the most beloved comedy films of the 2000s and expectations are high for the upcoming film.
The actor said, “Mithila started her journey from the internet and is working in many films now. And soon, she will be seen with an actor who is very well known to me, guess who, me. In ‘Bhooth Bangla’, Mithila will be seen playing the role not of the ‘bhooth’, but of my sister.”

Priyadarshan's previous outing was the Mohanlal starrer 'Kunjali Marakkar'. Although expectations were high for the period action film which was based on a real-life character, 'Kunjali Marakar' failed to impress audiences and did not collect huge numbers at the box office as expected. With 'Bhooth Bangla', Priyadarshan is expected to mark his comeback.
