‘Dhurandhar’: Ladakh makes Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh’s film tax-free amid a record-breaking box office run

Since its early December release, ‘Dhurandhar’ has gone on a record-smashing box office run, leading the Union Territory of Ladakh to grant it tax-free status across the region. The Office of the Lt. Governor of Ladakh announced the decision via an official communication shared on X, confirming the exemption. Lt. Governor Shri Kavinder Gupta stated that Aditya Dhar’s thriller will not be subject to entertainment tax anywhere in the UT.Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Aditya, ‘Dhurandhar’ comes. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead, alongside Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal. This big-budget espionage thriller follows secret intelligence missions drawn from actual real-life events. Ladakh made the film tax-free during its huge box office win and strong fan love around the world. “Shot extensively in the region, the film spotlights Ladakh’s cinematic landscapes, signalling strong support for filmmakers and reinforcing the UT’s push to emerge as a preferred," the official tweet read.‘Dhurandhar’ packs intense action-thriller, scripted, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. The film features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. From B62 Studios and presented by Jio Studios, it hit theaters with blockbuster openings and sustains a thriving run.
