'Bone Lake', which released in theatres on October 3, 2025, is now streaming on an OTT platform, reaching a much wider audience. Led by
Maddie Hasson, the psychological thriller has been drawing attention for its moody atmosphere and character-driven tension.
About the plot
'Bone Lake' begins with what appears to be a simple getaway. Two couples end up sharing a secluded lakeside rental. At first, the setting feels peaceful — almost too perfect. But the calm doesn’t last long.
The arrival of the second couple introduces a strange energy into the space. Their presence subtly shifts the mood, and their behaviour raises unsettling doubts. Soon, the first couple finds themselves pulled into psychological games they never signed up for.
The story delves into themes of desire, manipulation, and the masks people wear in relationships. It also plays with the contrast between appearance and reality. Blending discomfort with moments of dark humour, the film explores erotic tension and emotional control, resulting in a thriller that feels intimate, unsettling, and unpredictable.
