Doctors said her condition has stabilised and she is currently out of danger. “The patient was admitted with respiratory distress and other symptoms caused by toxic gas inhalation. She responded well to treatment and is stable now,” a doctor on duty said. The incident has once again underscored the gravity of the toxic gas crisis affecting several localities in and around Kenduadih.Despite joint efforts by the district administration and Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) to neutralise the gas by injecting nitrogen, residents allege the measures have failed to bring lasting relief. “The gas leakage continues and our lives are at risk every day.
