Countries who dropped out from the Eurovision 2026 race
The roster this year is much smaller than in the previous contests.
This is due to the fact that a total of 5 countries are boycotting the event this year. The move comes after calls to exclude Israel and its entry from the competition were made to the Eurovision Broadcasting Union. However, the EBU went forward with the decision to have Israel participate in this year’s music competition. Following this, Spain, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Slovenia all, one by one withdrew their entry from this year’s competition.
When and where will Eurovision 2026 happen

The grand finale is then scheduled to take place on May 16. The competition is going to be held at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria.
