Teyana Taylor confronts 'very rude' man who 'shoved' her at Oscars 2026
Actor-singer Teyana Taylor was involved in a brief confrontation with a man she alleged shoved her during the Academy Awards 2026 ceremony, according to a viral video circulating online, as per Variety.
Taylor, who starred in 'One Battle After Another', was seen scolding a man in a crowded area at the Oscars event after the alleged incident.
"You're a man putting your hands on a female," Taylor can be heard saying in the video, while repeatedly calling the man "very rude."
Speaking to people around her, Taylor said, "He literally shoved me" and added that "he damn near shoved" another woman as well.
"Everybody's having a good time. But when you shove me, it's a different story," she said to a woman standing nearby. "Do not touch me, do not shove me," according to Variety. Later in the evening, Taylor told TMZ that the man involved was a security guard and clarified that the situation had been resolved.
"Security was just doing a lot," she said. "There's always that one, but I'm perfectly fine. I'm happy. There's nothing to wonder. The first thing people do is definitely make assumptions. But at the end of the day, I just don't tolerate disrespect, especially when it's unwarranted and unprovoked," as per the outlet.
Taylor had been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in 'One Battle After Another' but lost the category to Amy Madigan for 'Weapons.'
Despite the loss, the film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson emerged as the biggest winner of the night, taking home six awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Casting, Adapted Screenplay, Editing and Supporting Actor for Sean Penn.
In addition to her Oscar nomination, Taylor also received supporting actress nominations at the BAFTAs, Critics Choice Awards and Actor Awards, and won the category at the Golden Globe Awards.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the latest Hindi movies, upcoming Hindi movies in 2026 , and Telugu movies.”
