Courteney Cox just proved that FRIENDS are forever!
The ‘FRIENDS’ star just gave her co-star and longtime friend, Jennifer Aniston, the kind of birthday shoutout that hits you right in the nostalgia. On February 11, as Jen turned 57, Courteney hopped on Instagram and posted a throwback from their FRIENDS days, a photo that instantly took everyone back to the sitcom’s golden years. One look and one could practically hear the theme song playing!

In the Instagram post, Courteney, who is now 61, shared an old photo of herself and Jennifer when they were Monica and Rachel, grinning side by side. Turns out, she didn’t stop there; she included other snapshots in a little carousel, celebrating all her Aquarius friends (Laura Dern and Isla Fisher made the cut, too).
Her caption, too, is Classic Courteney: “Apparently Geminis like Aquarians! So many birthdays this month. I’m so lucky to have these ‘air’ heads in my life.”
However, it wasn’t just Courteney chiming in for Aniston’s birthday greetings.
Reese Witherspoon, who was also featured in FRIENDS, also wished Jen a happy birthday with a clever Instagram Reel. It started with a FRIENDS-era pic of them as the Green sisters, Rachel and Jill, then jumped to a shot from ‘The Morning Show’, where they’re co-anchors now.
“When someone mentions growing up together like we don’t know ball,” Reese’s first caption joked, flipping to, “We know ball,” on the second.
Reese then added, “Happy Birthday @jenniferaniston! From the Green sisters to news anchors, our conversations and laughter never stop. Your love of life, your humor, and your endless positivity are such a gift. I feel so grateful to know you on and off screen. Love you, Jen.”
The friendships forged on FRIENDS
This banter of Courteney and Jennifer—and even Reese—goes way back. Courteney and Jennifer met in 1994 on the FRIENDS set, as Monica and Rachel, of course. However, offscreen, their bonds went deeper. The show exploded, running for ten seasons, and their friendship only got stronger. Even after the final credits rolled, they stuck together.
Jen’s done the same for Courteney, calling her a “ridiculously special human” and making it clear their connection is the real deal.
