The trailer of the upcoming psychological thriller series
Ronkini Bhavan has been released, offering a haunting glimpse into a story set in the suburban–rural belt of 1990s Bengal. Steeped in superstition, inherited fear and buried family secrets, the series unfolds around the enigmatic presence of Ronkini Devi — a little-spoken local deity believed to hold a powerful influence over a decaying ancestral estate.
Directed by
Abhrajit Sen in his second web-series outing, the show features Shyamoupti Mudly as Juthika and Gourab Roy Chowdhury as Adityanath, both marking their OTT debuts. The narrative follows a young bride who enters a reclusive household where faith, dread and mortality coexist, compelling her to confront a legacy that blurs the line between devotion and darkness.
Actress Shruti Das joins the project as Creative Producer, contributing to the series’ atmospheric tone and psychological depth. The cast also includes Bidipta Chakraborty, Avery Singha Roy, Siddharta Ghosh, Aniruddha Gupta and Ishani Sengupta, with Suhotra Mukhopadhyay appearing in a special cameo as Manas Mahato.
Described as a story where terror emerges from human belief, ritual and guilt rather than the supernatural,
Ronkini Bhavan promises an intense exploration of fear, memory and tradition — with the newly released trailer setting the stage for a gripping, mood-driven thriller.
