Real-life incident inspires Arindam's debut

If Bollywood can be inspired by real-lifeincidents, Tollywood surely wouldn���������t be far behind. Arindam Dey���������sdebut feature film titled ���������Uro Chithi Express��������� is based on areal-life incident that happened down South. Says Arindam, ���������WhenPadmanabha Dasgupta and I began to discuss our story ideas, both of us referredto the same incident that had happened down South. We had read about how abereaved man seeking compensation. When the driver lost the case anddidn���������t have the money to pay a compensation, he was instructed to giveaway the bus. However, when this man actually wanted to give away this bus,things took a different turn. My film is a satirical take-off on this incident.The characters are fictional. It���������s set in Bolpur.��������� Incidentally,���������Peepli Live��������� too had an incident where a pump was given off as acompensation in an equally bizarre situation.As far as the castinggoes, Arindam has cast Rahul, Paoli and Biswajit Chakraborty. Talks are on withSabyasachi Chakrabarty to do the film too. Speaking about his role,Rahul says, ���������I play a bus conductor. I am slowly moving towards doing suchmovies. I appreciate everything that Padmanabha Dasgupta writes. I am alsoplanning to learn the body language of conductors and master the art of how thekeep the tickets within their fingers.��������� Says Paoli, ���������I play a widowin the film. ���������UCE��������� will be on the lines of ���������Welcome toSajjanpur���������. ���������UCE��������� is a dark comedy.���������Arindam,on his part, adds that he thinks ���������UCE��������� is just the right platform tomake his directorial debut. ���������I���������ve helmed projects such as���������Jhora Shomoyer Upokatha���������, ���������Purba Paschim���������,���������Borishaler Bor��������� and ���������Panchu Mistiri Lane���������, amongothers. I plan to begin shooting from January.���������Shamik too has already begun composing for the film. ���������I have an earthy number.
