PATNA: After Prime Minister
Narendra Modi’s recent prediction that there will be “double Diwali” in Bihar this year, his bête noire and RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Tuesday predicted “political elimination” of “evil”
BJP this
Dussehra. Bihar election results will be out on November 8, three days before Diwali.
“Dussehra is the festival celebrated to honour Rama for killing the demon army led by Ravana.
We are going to do the same by ensuring ‘evil’ BJP’s defeat in the assembly elections,” Lalu said.
“You can already see Modi changing his posters everywhere in a hurry and BJP chief
Amit Shah seething with fury. I am sure this Dussehra will be remembered for political elimination of ‘evil’ BJP,” Lalu said, adding that defeat of BJP will be a festive gift for people of Bihar.
He appealed to voters to celebrate Durga Puja this year by ending communalism and defeating the BJP-led NDA in the assembly polls. “I am sure that people of Bihar will kill communal forces active in the state,” he added.
Visibly happy after edge of Mahagathbandhan over NDA in first two phases of polls, Lalu said no one in Bihar would like to live in fear. “People of Bihar want peace and communal harmony,” Lalu said and took the credit of spoiling the alleged game plan of BJP to polarise voters on communal line.
“We have exposed the real face BJP and RSS on reservation, development and false promises made by Modi during Lok Sabha election last year,” Lalu said.
Criticising ink attack on Jammu and Kashmir independent MLA Engineer Rashid, Lalu said the incident was the brainchild of saffron brigade. “Hindu Sena may have claimed responsibility for the ink attack on the MLA, but the incident was actually the brainchild of RSS and BJP people,” Lalu said.
