The Union Bank of India will close the Apprentice recruitment 2026 on May 19, 2026. Candidates who want to apply for the 1,865 apprentice posts can submit their applications till then. The recruitment notification was released on April 28, while the online application process started on April 29, 2026.
The recruitment drive has been launched to provide training in banking operations through a one-year apprenticeship programme. Interested candidates have been advised to complete the registration process before the deadline as no offline applications will be accepted.
As per the official notification, graduates between 20 and 28 years of age are eligible to apply for the apprenticeship programme. The application process is available through the BFSI SSC portal and the recruitment section of Union Bank of India.
Candidates selected under the apprenticeship programme will receive a monthly stipend based on the branch location. Apprentices posted in rural and semi-urban branches will receive Rs 15,000 per month. Those posted in urban branches will get Rs 18,000, while candidates working in metro branches will receive Rs 20,000 per month.
The selection process will include an online objective examination, followed by a local language proficiency test and a medical examination. Candidates are also required to have NAPS or NATS registration numbers wherever applicable during the application process.
