UGC NET city intimation slip released for December 2025 session: Direct link, steps to download here
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET December 2025 City Intimation Slip for candidates appearing in the upcoming session. This slip informs candidates about the city where their exam will be conducted, allowing them to plan travel and accommodation ahead of the computer-based test (CBT), which is scheduled from 31 December 2025 to 7 January 2026. As per inputs from PTI, the city intimation slip is a preliminary document, while the official admit card, which contains detailed exam centre information and timing, will be issued a few days before the exam.
It must be noted that the UGC NET admit card is compulsory for entry into the examination centre and no candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without it.
On the day of the examination, candidates must carry a valid original photo identity proof along with the admit card for verification.
Electronic devices, including mobile phones and smart watches, as well as bags, books, notes, and any other study material, are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

How to download UGC NET city intimation slip
Candidates can download the slip by following these steps:- Visit the official UGC NET website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in
- Click on the link for UGC NET December 2025 City Intimation Slip.
- Enter Application Number and Date of Birth.
- Complete the captcha/security verification.
- Download and print the slip for future reference.
What is a city intimation slip?
The city intimation slip is not the admit card. It is issued to help candidates know their exam city in advance. This allows them to:- Plan travel arrangements and accommodation

UGC NET December 2025 session
The UGC NET December 2025 examination will be conducted by the National Testing Agency in computer-based test (CBT) mode from 31 December 2025 to 7 January 2026. The exam will consist of two papers held in a single session of three hours. Paper I will test teaching and research aptitude and will include 50 questions, while Paper II will be subject-specific and will comprise 100 questions.
