Visakhapatnam: The
Andhra Cricket Association will host the Elite Group D league matches of the Col CK Nayudu trophy U-25 tournament in Mulapadu near Vijayawada from March 22 to April 8. Vidarbha, Chandigarh, Maharashtra and Railways will play four-day league matches among themselves and the top team qualifies for the knockout quarterfinals.

Tamil Nadu, Mumbai and Manipur are the other teams in the group. Andhra hope to better their 16th position in a total of 18 teams from the 2019-20 season. Sk Rasheed will lead Andhra.

Verification for SAAP coaches District Sports Authority’s chief coach N Surya Rao informed that 21 coaches in different disciplines who have applied for coaches’ jobs under the pay and play scheme of SAAP, have to report at the SAAP office in IGMC stadium, Vijayawada by 10 am on March 22 and 23 for verification of their certificates. Handball, boxing and volleyball coaches have to report on March 23.
