Two CIs suspended over corruption, negligence charges in Tirupati
Tirupati: Two circle inspectors who previously served in Tirupati have been placed under suspension following a departmental inquiry that confirmed allegations of corruption and gross negligence of duty against them. The suspended officials include Srinivasulu and Ramaiah, who earlier worked at the East and Campus police stations in Tirupati. Both of them were first transferred out to the VR (vacancy reserve) at Anantapur after a series of allegations surfaced against them. And as the allegations of corruption and dereliction of duties were confirmed in the enquiry carried out on the orders of Tirupati SP L Subbarayudu, both Srinivasulu and Ramaiah were placed under suspension with immediate effect. Tirupati SP warned that zero tolerance will be displayed towards police personnel involved in acts of corruption and those who display negligence while discharging their duties.
