TTD Board to approve 2026–27 budget today
Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board headed by chairman BR Naidu will formally accord approval to the 2026-27 budgetary estimates to be presented before it on Saturday.Apart from approving the budget estimates, the Tirupati trust will also formally accord approval to the Srivari Mudupu Pathram scheme-a first of it's kind initiative aimed at encouraging the cashless donation system at the world renowned Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala without compromising on the sentiments of the devotees with regards to physically dropping their offerings at the sacred Srivari Hundi.

TTD authorities stated that under this initiatives, devotees visiting Tirumala can make digital payments through their preferred payment modes as per the RBi regulations and obtain the Srivari Mudupu Pathram of equal denomination, which they can carry inside the Srivari temple while going for Darshan and can drop the Mudupu Pathram into the Srivari Hundi and fulfil their vows. The Tirupati trust firmly believes that in the era of digital payments, the Srivari Mudupu Pathram platform relieves the devotees from the hassles and the risk of carrying cash all the way to Tirumala to deposit the same in the Srivari Hundi as the same can now be completed digitally.
Once the devotee drops the Mudupu Pathram into the Srivari Hundi, the devotees donation gets accounted for during the Parakamani Hundi counting exercise.Meanwhile, the TTD trust will also formally accord approval for a more simplified Annaprasadam donation scheme under which devotees can extend donations of smaller denominations that fits their purse and extend donation to their preferred number of devotees at Tirumala on their preferred dates in a hassle free manner. The Tirupati trust is also set to pass several other key resolutions during the trust board meeting scheduled to be held at Tirumala on Saturday.
