Teppotsavam flotilla captivates thousands at Tirumala festival
Tirumala: Thousands of devotees who remained glued to their seats on the four banks of the Srivari Pushkarini temple tank went into a spiritual rupture as Lord Malayappa Swamy bedecked with antique jewellery was taken out on a celestial ride on a finely decked up and illuminated flotilla on the second day of the annual Teppotsavam festival at Tirumala on Friday. Accompanied by goddess Rukmini Devi, Lord Malayappa Swamy enthralled the devout as Lord Srikrishna and the temple precincts reverberated with the Govinda nama chants of the devotees as the flotilla with the deities on board went around the sacred waters of the Srivari Pushkarini thrice. TTD EO Muddada Ravichandra, additional EO CH Venkaiah Chowdary, CVSO K V Murali Krishna and TTD board members took part.
