Lokesh announces AP PGCET 2026 results, 91.55% qualify

Vijayawada: Education minister Nara Lokesh on Friday announced the results of the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (AP PGCET) 2026, with 91.55% of candidates qualifying for admission into postgraduate programmes across the state.According to officials, 19,118 candidates registered for the examination, of whom 16,406 appeared and 15,020 qualified. The entrance tests were conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) between May 8 and May 11 at 23 centres across the state.Congratulating the successful candidates, Lokesh said the results reflected the hard work and determination of students aspiring for higher education and research.He also complimented APSCHE and officials involved in conducting the examination smoothly.Officials said preliminary answer keys were released after the examinations and final results were processed after experts reviewed objections raised by candidates. Rank cards are available through the official AP PGCET portal and via the state government’s WhatsApp governance service.SV University vice-chancellor and APPGCET chairman Tata Narasinga Rao and convener V. Padmavathi thanked the state government, APSCHE and the education department for entrusting the university with conducting the examination.
