Inter 2nd year syllabus leak before official release triggers outrage in AP
Vijayawada: The leak of the intermediate second-year syllabus even before its official release has triggered serious concern within the govt. Officials said such an incident is entirely unprecedented, with no similar cases reported in the state's academic history. The controversy erupted after PDF clippings of the newly introduced syllabus for physics and chemistry surfaced on WhatsApp groups and social media, even as the textbooks were still under printing. The syllabus, jointly prepared by the Telugu Academy and the Intermediate Board for the 2026 academic year, is not yet formally released.Taking swift action, the Vijayawada cyber crime police registered a case based on a complaint filed by Koteswaramma, deputy director of the Telugu and Sanskrit Academy. Investigators have now intensified efforts to trace the origin of the leak and identify those responsible. The incident has raised serious questions about data security and internal handling of sensitive academic material. Officials fear that premature access to syllabus content could disrupt academic planning and give undue advantage to certain groups. In a key development, the Telugu Academy has issued notices to a private publisher, suspecting possible involvement in the leak.
Authorities are probing how confidential information may have reached private entities ahead of its official release.Cybercrime teams have begun collecting digital evidence and tracking the circulation of the leaked PDFs across online platforms. Sources indicate that a detailed forensic analysis is underway to uncover whether the leak was accidental or part of a larger conspiracy.
