Itanagar: Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, the general officer commanding of the 3 Corps, on Thursday inaugurated a Containerised Oxygen Generation Plant and Refilling Centre at Field Hospital at Borarupak in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Subansiri district, a defence official said. The facility, a step towards strengthening healthcare support in remote and high-altitude areas, has been contributed to by the Soldiers Independent Rehabilitation Foundation.Defence PRO Lt Col Mahendra Rawat said the vital installation is designed to ensure a continuous and reliable supply of medical-grade oxygen, enhancing the capability of the Field Hospital to cater to both serving soldiers and civilians. In high-altitude and remote regions, where logistics and medical resources are often constrained, he said, the availability of a dedicated oxygen generation and refilling facility serves as a critical lifeline.
