Guntur: In a significant boost to school education in the Palnadu region, Narasaraopet MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu has successfully secured approval for the introduction of Intermediate classes at the
Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sattenapalli, along with additional sections in select central schools to accommodate more students.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sattenapalli, which offered classes only up to Class 10, will soon be upgraded to include Intermediate education. Orders to this effect have been issued by the concerned Union ministry, following sustained efforts by MP Krishna. His proactive engagement with central authorities ensured quick clearance of the proposal, addressing a long-pending demand of students and parents in the region.
In addition to the Intermediate upgrade, MP Krishna also pushed for expanding student intake capacity in existing Kendriya Vidyalayas. As part of this, one additional section each has been sanctioned for classes 4 and 5 in the Sattenapalli school, with each section accommodating around 40 students. Similarly, the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Irlapadu, near Chilakaluripet, has been granted one additional section each for classes 3, 4, and 5.
These measures are expected to significantly enhance access to quality central education for students in Palnadu district, reducing the need for them to travel long distances for higher secondary schooling. The increase in sections will also help ease competition for admissions and ensure that more students benefit from the Kendriya Vidyalaya system.
MP Krishna stated that improving educational infrastructure and expanding opportunities for students remain key priorities. He affirmed that continuous efforts will be made to bring more facilities and academic upgrades to the region, ensuring better learning outcomes and wider access to quality education.
