Bhatti Vikramarka prays at Indrakeeladri

Vijayawada: Telangana deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka offered prayers at the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devsthanam (SDMSD) temple atop Indrakeeldari in Vijayawada on Friday.Upon his arrival at the temple, Bhatti Vikramarka was accorded a grand welcome by temple assistant commissioner Rangarao and the temple priests. He had darshan of the presiding deity, Goddess Kanaka Durga Devi, in the temple's sanctum sanctorum and performed special pujas as per temple traditions. Following the darshan, Vedic scholars offered Vedic blessings to him at the Ashirvachana mandapam.On the occasion, the temple authorities presented him with the goddess's prasadam, sacred vastram, and a portrait of the deity.Speaking to the media, Bhatti Vikramarka said he prayed for the wellbeing, peace, and prosperity of the people of the two Telugu states and sought the divine blessings of the goddess for everyone. Senior Congress leader Gidugu Rudra Raju and others were present.
