Visakhapatnam: Continuing its dominance in competitive examinations, Andhra Pradesh has produced five students who scored a perfect 100 percentile in the JEE Main Paper I results released on Monday. Among the 26 students nationwide who accomplished this feat, Andhra Pradesh and its neighbouring state, Telangana, both had the highest representation with five 100-percentilers. Rajasthan followed in second place with four students securing perfect scores. The five AP scorers are Jonnala Roshan Manideep Reddy, Narendrababu Gari Mahith, Thunga Durga Suprabhath, Pasala Mohith, and Bijjam Venkata Chandra Sekhar Reddy.Speaking to TOI, Chandra Sekhar Reddy, hailing from Vinukonda, said that he started preparing for the JEE exam right from Class VIII. "My family motivated me to pursue this journey and encouraged me throughout. I spent nearly 13-14 hours every day preparing for the exam. Right from the Main exam, I have started preparing for the Advanced. I want to make it to IIT Bombay," said Reddy, who is a student of Sri Chaitanya, Vijayawada.
Narendrababu Gari Mahith said that success in the JEE hinges on belief and determination. "When you are convinced that your passion and resolve can carry you through, the journey feels far less daunting. Confidence not only fuels preparation but also steadies you against the stress and unpredictability of the exam. Alongside revising NCERT texts and covering the syllabus thoroughly, I relied closely on the guidance and notes provided by our faculty," said Mahith, a student of Narayana College, Tirupati.Pasala Mohith, another student from Andhra Pradesh who achieved a perfect percentile, comes from a distinctive family background. Both his parents serve as government doctors in Jammalamadugu, YSR Kadapa district. Recognising his strong aptitude for mathematics early on, they encouraged him to pursue the MPC stream during his intermediate studies. "I completed my early schooling in Jammalamadugu before moving to Vijayawada for Classes 9 and 10, as well as my intermediate education. My goal is to join IIT Bombay after clearing JEE Advanced," said Mohith, a student of Sri Chaitanya, Vijayawada.Thunga Durga Suprabhath also explained his preparation strategy and how he meticulously followed the instructions and tips given by his lecturers. "My focus is now fully on JEE Advanced," said Suprabhath, a student at Bhashyam Educational Institutions.
