4 killed in separate incidents in Annamayya, Tirupati districts
Tirupati: Four people were killed in separate incidents in Annamayya and Tirupati districts.Two persons, identified as Padmavathi (50) and Venkatesh (40), who came to take part in Ganga Jatara festivities at their relatives' village in Mudivedu, were electrocuted to death in Kurabalakota mandal of Annamayya district on Saturday.

Venkatesh was a native of Kongareddy Palli in Chittoor, and Padmavathi was a native of Chadalla Gollapalli village in Punganur mandal. The duo tried to rescue their relatives' children, who suffered an electric shock while playing on a swing. While the children were rescued, Padmavathi and Venkatesh were electrocuted to death.Mudivedu police registered a case and shifted the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem.Meanwhile, two motorists were killed in a road accident reported near Naidupeta in Tirupati district in the early hours on Sunday. The deceased were identified as B Bharath (20) and Muni Kumar.According to the Pellakuru police, the duo rammed their bike at high speed into a moving truck near Pellakuru along the Naidupeta-Puthalapattu national highway and succumbed to injuries.
