CM reviews Chaitra Navratri preps at Vindhyachal Temple

Mirzapur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inspected Chaitra Navratri preparations, focusing on ensuring a pleasant, clean experience for pilgrims at Vindhyachal Temple in Mirzapur. He also emphasized making Mirzapur, including the Vindhyachal fair area, plastic-free.Yogi reviewed plans for the Vindhyachal corridor and fair area, stressing cleanliness, security, and public convenience. He directed officials to make Mirzapur, including the fair area, plastic-free and include Ganga ghats in the sanitation plan.The CM stressed top-notch sanitation, instructing officials to ensure door-to-door garbage collection and maintain cleanliness at key public spots. He also pushed for beautifying roads, the bus station, and the railway station, and displaying hoardings of govt schemes.Reviewing the security arrangements, Yogi asked officials to finalise the traffic management plan to ensure hassle-free entry and exit of pilgrims in the Vindhyachal corridor and the fair area. "Comprehensive security arrangements should be made for devotees as well as women in the entire fair area. Safety measures should also be initiated to ensure a secure and orderly environment during the fair," he added.In view of rising mercury, he said, "All public amenities, including drinking water, toilets, electricity, and lighting, should be made available for devotees. Adequate drinking water arrangements should also be made across the district."On transport and crowd management, he directed that parking arrangements should ensure devotees do not have to walk long distances to reach the temple.He also directed NDRF and SDRF teams to be on standby, and life jackets to be provided to people taking boat rides in the Ganga, ensuring safety.The CM also reviewed the district's law and order and said, "Effective action should be taken against cattle smugglers and cow slaughterers."The mastermind behind these crimes should be identified and effective action should be taken against them, he added.Instructing officials to dispose of old revenue cases on priority and ensure the timely completion of ongoing development works across the district, he directed the administration to hold meetings with public representatives and local entrepreneurs to resolve pending issues.He said land should be made available to outside investors willing to establish enterprises in the district. Stressing accountability, Yogi said, "Development works should be completed on time while ensuring quality."
