Vijay’s bouncers shove journalists at Trichy airport

Trichy: A scuffle erupted between Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Vijay's bouncers and journalists at Trichy airport on Friday when he arrived to board a private plane to Chennai.Vijay arrived at the airport after wrapping up a road show in Karaikudi and his bouncers blocked journalists who had gathered there. They allegedly pushed some of media personnel to the ground. Police officers attempted to intervene and calm the situation. However, bouncers reportedly shoved several policemen aside as well. Some bouncers also allegedly demanded identity cards from intelligence officers on the airport premises.Amid the chaos, police and CISF personnel quickly escorted Vijay through the gate, after which he departed on his flight. The incident caused a commotion at the airport for several minutes.On April 2, when Vijay arrived to file his nomination papers to Trichy, bouncers prevented journalists from getting close to the actor, leading to an argument between the security team and reporters.
