Meta-owned Instagram allows users to edit comments, but with a catch
Meta-owned Instagram has introduced a new feature that allows users to edit their comments, giving creators and regular users a way to fix typos after posting. As announced by the company, users will be able to edit their comments within 15 minutes of posting them. The photo-sharing platform said users can make multiple edits during this time window, offering more flexibility while engaging with others. The ability to edit Instagram comments is rolling out today onwards. The update is aimed at improving user experience, especially for creators who actively reply to comments and may make quick typing errors. Until now, users had to delete and repost comments to correct mistakes. Instagram clarified that only the text part of a comment can be edited. This means if a comment includes both text and a photo, only the written portion can be changed.
