The Indian army has carried out Exercise Brahmastra at the Pokhran field firing range. This is the first firepower display of its new AH-64E Apache helicopters. The army received the first of its six Apache helicopters in July of last year. During the exercise, the helicopters demonstrated their ability to operate in close coordination with ground troops in a high threat environment. The army has now deployed its Apache attack helicopters in Jodhpur and are part of the 451 Army Aviation Squadron. The attack helicopter is considered to be the most advanced helicopter in the world.
