Trichy: EDII–Anna Business Incubation Research Foundation (EDII-ABIRF), on Monday felicitated five startups for successfully developing their own operational units and generating a turnover between 50 lakh and 1 crore each. A ‘Wall of Excellence' for startups was also opened by StartupTN at the incubation centre of the Anna University, Trichy campus, to recognise promising startups in the early stage that developed validated products and demonstrated growth potential in multiple sectors.
Sivarajah Ramanathan, mission director and chief executive officer (CEO), StartupTN, said that a substantial milestone was achieved in decentralising startup presence across the state, which was earlier concentrated only around the Chennai region. "Distributed growth in the startup ecosystem and employment generation was achieved ever since StartupTN was formed. Women-led startups are being encouraged persistently and supported to avail funds," Sivarajah told TOI.

More startups will be featured based on their achievements, EDII-ABIRF said.
The event also witnessed the logo launch of new startup ventures from Trichy and Thanjavur regions.
