Startups felicitated for achieving turnover up to Rs1 crore
Trichy: EDII–Anna Business Incubation Research Foundation (EDII-ABIRF), on Monday felicitated five startups for successfully developing their own operational units and generating a turnover between 50 lakh and 1 crore each. A ‘Wall of Excellence' for startups was also opened by StartupTN at the incubation centre of the Anna University, Trichy campus, to recognise promising startups in the early stage that developed validated products and demonstrated growth potential in multiple sectors.Sivarajah Ramanathan, mission director and chief executive officer (CEO), StartupTN, said that a substantial milestone was achieved in decentralising startup presence across the state, which was earlier concentrated only around the Chennai region. "Distributed growth in the startup ecosystem and employment generation was achieved ever since StartupTN was formed. Women-led startups are being encouraged persistently and supported to avail funds," Sivarajah told TOI.
Startups incubated by EDII-ABIRF that employ up to 100 individuals in healthcare, artificial intelligence (AI), and food sectors were felicitated for their contributions. The wall of excellence accommodates nine well-performing startups, including Trichy-based Trauell, an AI-based smart immersive tourism and cultural guidance startup, and Privin Landmarket, a Kallakurichi-based real estate and property technology platform. More startups will be featured based on their achievements, EDII-ABIRF said. The event also witnessed the logo launch of new startup ventures from Trichy and Thanjavur regions. Sivarajah said that the StartupTN, Trichy hub office, which is functioning from the Trichy district collector office, will soon move into a dedicated office space, and the Thanjavur StartupTN hub will operate from the Thanjavur Tidel Neo Park.
