Footwear shop owner found dead in hotel room

SURAT: The body of a footwear shopowner was found in a hotel room near the railway station here on Tuesdaymorning. Police believe that he had committed suicide and the reason behind itis being probed. A staff of the hotel went to check the room ofVinod Parmar (31), but found it locked from inside and was not opened for a longtime. When the room was opened later by the police and the hotel staff members,the body of Parmar, a resident of Kishan Wadi in Vadodara, was found. Policefound an empty bottle of some poisonous material also. A complaint of suicidewas registered at Mahidharpura police station.Parmar, owner of S R Corporation, was staying in the hotel since Saturday. He had come to the city to collect money from his clients. He was last seen on Monday morning when the house keeping staff went to his room. He had opened the door, but refused any cleaning in the room.Police did not find any suicide note in theroom. The family members of the deceased have been contacted by the police. Thebottle has been sent for examination to identify which material Parmar hadconsumed to end his life.
