HP culture to be on show at Shimla Winter Carnival

Shimla: Deputy commissioner Anupam Kashyap said on Tuesday that 10-day ‘Shimla Winter Carnival’, proposed from Dec 24, will be celebrated like a festival with the culture of all 12 districts of the state on display.
He chaired a meeting of various departments for these preparations and said lakhs of tourists come to Shimla on Christmas and this carnival will be a major attraction for them. There will be a cultural presentation of each district on the stage every day. Artistes from different states will be invited through North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Patiala. The city will be decorated with lights and Bajantri (drummers) will welcome tourists.

The extravaganza showcased captivating music and dance performances, culminating in a grand awards ceremony.
