Meteorologists forecast that Bengaluru and its surrounding districts will continue to experience the after-effects of Cyclone Fengal, with a yellow alert for moderate rain issued for the next three days.

Heavy rains from Cyclone Fengal, which persisted for nearly 15 hours, have caused severe flooding in the Uthangarai area of Krishnagiri district, disrupting daily life.

Cyclone Fengal, which made landfall near Puducherry on November 30, caused severe damage across the region, leading to widespread flooding and power disruptions.

The Chief Minister of Puducherry, N. Rangasamy, announced that a detailed report would be submitted to the central government for relief assistance. Torrential rains, the heaviest in 50 years, submerged residential areas, forcing residents to stay indoors. Power supply was restored in phases, with efforts to pump out water from flooded sub-stations.

Relief camps were set up for evacuees, and the Army and National Disaster Response Force assisted in evacuating people, including senior citizens, from inundated areas. Voluntary organizations contributed to the relief efforts by preparing and distributing food packets.
