Sohan tops Meghalaya HSSLC science exam, Ferry comm topper

Shillong: The results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examinations, 2024, conducted by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) were declared on Wednesday with Laban Bengalee Boy’s Higher Secondary School student Sohan Bhattacharjee securing the first position in science stream and St Mary’s Higher Secondary School girl Ferry Flarisha Wann securing the top spot in the commerce.While Sohan secured 483 marks, Ferry garnered 472 marks to secure the top slots in science and commerce respectively. The second position in the science stream was secured by Gordon Kupar Nongbri of St Edmund’s Higher Secondary School, and the third position by Ar Meker Marpna of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School. The second slot in the commerce stream went to Raj Paul of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School and the third position was shared by Pongkoch Dutta of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Pinky Kumari of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School and Aditya Prasad of Don Bosco College (Higher Secondary Section), Tura.The others in the top-10 list in the science stream were Aniket Pattanayak of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School and Amebaaihunsha Kharbhih of St Anthony’s in fourth position, Rilaakor Lamare of St Anthony’s (5th), K Vansanpuii of St Edmund’s and Weibha Nongtdu Lakiang of North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Jowai (6th), Joshaviah Onan Paswet of North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Jowai (7th), Abhijit Deb of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School (8th), Freddy Lyngkhoi of Sacred Heart Boys’ Higher Secondary School and Edward Pohlong Lamare of St Edmund’s Higher Secondary School (9th) and Kevinstrong Lawriniang of Mairang Presbyterian Science College (Higher Secondary Section), Mairang (10th).In the commerce stream, Nearlina Bani Nongbri of St Anthony’s and Ryan Surong Myrthong of St Edmund’s shared the fourth position, Ishuah Kharsohtun of St Anthony’s (5th), Sneha Paul of St Edmund’s (6th), Dicky Nongpluh of Shillong College Higher Secondary section (7th), Imazul Haque Laskar of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School (8th), Alphi Clarissa Warjri of St Mary’s Higher Secondary School (9th) and Jagjot Singh of Alpha English Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh (10th position).
