Woman dies after blood transfusion delay at Giridih Sadar Hospital
Bokaro: A 50-year-old woman died on Friday allegedly after a delay in blood processing and transfusion at Giridih Sadar Hospital, sparking outrage among relatives who accused the hospital administration and blood bank staff of gross negligence.
“The sample was submitted immediately, but ... the blood bank staff kept us waiting for nearly two hours,” Rai alleged.
Civil surgeon Dr Bachcha Singh said a preliminary probe found negligence by a lab technician and termination proceedings were initiated.
