Two Teenagers Drown in Garhwa Dam

Garhwa: Two teenagers drowned on Thursday in a dam in Gobardaha village under Meral police limits of Garhwa district. The deceased were identified as Zainab Khatoon (14) and Sohail Khan (15), police said. Sohail, a Class 9 student drowned while attempting to rescue his father’s sister Zainab who was drowning in the dam’s deep waters. Local divers fished out bodies of the deceased after search operations. “The bodies were sent to Garhwa sadar hospital for post-mortem examination,” said Meral police station OC Vishnu Kant.
