Gumla: A 21-year-old man was killed and three others sustained injuries when their vehicle lost control and hit a tree in Netarhat plateau on Thursday. All the four were tourists from Barkagaon in Hazaribag block and were returning after visiting Netarhat, the police said.
The incident took place under Gurdari police station limits of the district. The deceased was identified as Anupam Arya, while the injured were Shahil Raja (19), Roshan (20), and Md Nahit (21). All the injured were admitted to Gumla sadar hospital for treatment. An injured said, "We were returning after watching the sunrise at Netarhat. As our car reached near a place called Chorka-Khand, our vehicle went out of control and hit a tree. Our friends, who were ahead in another vehicle, came to our resuce and took us to Bishunpur community health centre where Anupam was declared dead by doctors.” Gurdari OC Prakash Tirkey said a case was registered.
