Three held for robbing elderly couple in Giridih

Bokaro: Three men were arrested on Friday for allegedly robbing an elderly couple at their residence-cum-shop in Giridih. The accused were identified as Guddu Kumar Laheri of Koderma, and Binod Kumar Sao and Nandkishore Ravidas of Giridih.Police recovered Rs 11,100, a motorcycle used in the crime and two mobile phones from them. Khori Mahua SDPO Rajendra Prasad said all three confessed during interrogation."The robbery took place on the night of May 12 at the residence of 75-year-old rice trader Banshi Sao near Jamua Chowk," said SDPO. The accused allegedly looted Rs 50,000 and a gold chain.
