Man Arrested in Jharkhand Minor Sister-in-Law Abduction Case

Chatra: A man was arrested from Ranchi for being allegedly involved in the abduction of his minor sister-in-law (wife’s cousin), Pratappur police said on Tuesday. The accused is a resident of a village under Hunterganj police station limits of the district.

The 16-year-old, a resident of Kunda police station limits, had been missing since Jan 6. The accused, a father of three, had been absconding since then. The teenager’s family members lodged a complaint with the Pratappur police station. The cops arrested a native of Rafiganj in Bihar for assisting the prime accused in the crime on Jan 24 . Based on his disclosure and technical surveillance, the prime accused was tracked down in Ranchi. Alok Ranjan Choudhary, the officer-in-charge of Pratappur police station, said strict action would be taken against anyone involved in crimes against women and minors.
