Daltonganj: In 2025, Latehar police conducted major offensive against organised crime across the district and arrested 66 miscreants. Measures would be further heighten to curb it in the coming year, superintendent of police (SP)

TOI, Gaurav said, “A total of 23 cases were registered for organised crime at different police stations between January and December 19 this year. Six country-made bombs, 16 country-made pistols, three desi kattas, 84 rounds of live fire, three magazines, 39 phones, and eight bikes among others were seized. An Austrian Glock pistol was seized from a hitman of the Rahul Singh gang.
"Gangster Mayank Singh was deported to India from Azerbaijan. He told the police about this Glock pistol being used in Rahul Singh’s network, having arms linkage to Pakistan," SP added.
