Jharkhand Police urged to use forensic teams and new laws for efficient investigations
Ranchi: Union joint secretary (internal security-II) Nishtha Tripathi on Friday asked the Jharkhand Police personnel to take help from the forensic team during investigations and to complete the exercise within the time limit prescribed by the new criminal laws.She met DGP Tadasha Mishra at police headquarters on compliance with the provisions of the new laws, namely Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, 2023, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, and the Bhartiya Sakshya Sanhita, and the use of the e-sakshya app during evidence collection.

The meeting also held detailed discussions on cybercrime, counter-terrorism, drug control, disaster management, police modernisation, and the validity of foreigners. A review of police capabilities and the working system was also conducted.
