Amid tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, two Indian-flagged LPG tankers—Pine Gas and Jag Vasant—have safely navigated the crucial route and are heading towards India. The vessels, carrying a total of 92,612 tonnes of LPG, equivalent to about a day’s national consumption, are expected to arrive between March 26 and 28. Sailing close together, they passed through waters near Iran’s Larak and Qeshm islands, likely to signal their identity during transit. With 60 Indian crew members onboard, the ships’ journey underscores India’s efforts to secure energy supplies and ensure safe passage for cargo amid ongoing regional uncertainties.
