Husband Arrested After Strangling Wife Over Infidelity Suspicions in Ranchi

Ranchi: A man strangled his wife to death on suspicion of illicit relationship in Loharkocha locality under Gonda police station limits on Friday night, police stated adding that accused person has been arrested. Police on Saturday said that the accused Shibu Kachaap had a brawl with his wife Rahil Kachhap (40) following which he killed her and fled. Rahil’s children informed the local people about the incident on Saturday morning.After receiving inputs from the locals, Sadar Dy SP Sanjeev Besra and Gonda police reached the spot to conduct preliminary investigations.Gonda police station in-charge Abhay Kumar Sinha, said, “Shibu who married Rahil in 2011 has two children. He, however, suspected that she was having illicit relationship. Prima facie it is the reason why he killed the woman.”
