Small-town dreams, supreme success: Advocate Sarthak Chaturvedi’s inspiring rise from Mathura
.
Advocate Sarthak Chaturvedi’s journey from Mathura’s quiet lanes to the Supreme Court of India is a story of perseverance and purpose. Known for his calm demeanour and grounded confidence, Chaturvedi’s rise in the legal world is rooted in values learned early—honesty over ambition and conviction over noise.Starting his career in the trial courts of Mathura, Chaturvedi faced the grind that many avoid—low pay, long hours, and heavy files. But those formative years taught him the nuances of justice and the importance of detail. His move to Delhi in 2008 marked a turning point. Within a few years, he was representing matters before the Delhi High Court and later, the Supreme Court of India.Appointed as Counsel for the Union of India in 2014, Chaturvedi handled a wide range of cases—from environmental disputes to criminal appeals and public interest litigations. Among his most notable efforts is the 2018 petition to protect Giriraj Parvat in Mathura, where he successfully argued for the preservation of ecology and faith together.Currently serving as Senior Panel counsel for Government of India and Chairperson/Member (Legal) of the National Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel, Chaturvedi describes his role as “a mix of law and morality,” ensuring fairness both in sports and the justice system.
Beyond the courtroom, he has supported leaders like Hema Malini and Shrikant Sharma during general elections and played a key role in actions against Yamuna pollution—earning recognitions such as the Swaraj Rakshak Samman (2020), Bharat Jyoti Award, and Award from Bar Council of Delhi.Asked about his philosophy, he smiles and says, “Work hard in silence; let success be your noise.” For Sarthak Chaturvedi, that quiet conviction continues to speak volumes in India’s legal corridors.
