Jamshedpur: Problems seem to be farfrom over for the Games Organising Committee (GOC) in run up to the hosting ofthe 34th National Games here.
Now, the cultural team of the city hasexpressed its disenchantment with the organisers for not including theirperformances in the probable list of events to be displayed during the hostingof the events here between February 12-26.
A delegation of KalaBharati, a city-based outfit of theatre artists on Thursday met the deputycommissioner and chairman of GOC Himani Pandey and urged her to give adequaterepresentation to the artist fraternity.
said Rakesh Kumar Pandey,convenor of Kala Bharati.
He said about 40-odd artists of nationalfame including the likes of Binapani Mahato, Shivlal Sagar, Hari Mittal andRavikanth Mishra are city-based, but the organisers didn t find it reasonable totake them in the cultural sub-committee constituted to make preparations for thecolourful cultural evenings.
As many as 14 artists from dramasegment, 10 from singing and eight from dancethat include various shades ofdance style are actively involved in the promotion of art and culture in thesociety, said Kala Bharativolunteers.
