Bokaro Woman Shot by Husband Over Social Media Reels; Husband Arrested

Bokaro: A 26-year-old woman was shot at by her husband in Giridih district on Friday evening. Police on Saturday said Mohammad Raja, the woman’s husband, had been arrested. The injured woman, identified as Ghazala Parveen, is recovering at Ranchi’s Rims, the police said. The incident took place near the Khijaysota crusher market on the Jharkhanddham–Kodadih main road, under the Parsan outpost of Dhanwar police station. Police said Raja, originally a resident of Vaishali district in Bihar, owns a tyre repairing shop in the area. Locals told police that he had fights with Ghazala over her social media activities, specially making reels. “Raja has been arrested, and police said a detailed investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident,” Dhanwar police said.
