Azim Premji Foundation secures 150-acre land for educational hub

Ranchi: Ranchi DC Rahul Kumar Sinha along with Rakesh Tiwari, the representative of Azim Premji Foundation for Development, signed the lease agreement for the land allocated by the state government to Azim Premji Foundation for Development and Azim Premji Educational Trust on Monday A parcel of 150 acres has been allocated in TB sanatorium complex of Thakur village Mauza of Itki zone, Ranchi. Out of this, 146 acres have been earmarked for Azim Premji Foundation for Development, while Azim Premji Educational Trust will take the remaining four acres. To secure the lease, the foundation incurred a stamp fee of Rs 91.08 lakh and a court fee of Rs 68.46 lakh, summing up to Rs 1.59 crore. Rakesh Tiwari, a representative of the Azim Premji Foundation for Development, said, “We are expecting to start construction of a university on 146 acres of land and a school on four acres.”
