Minor allegedly raped by father in Mehsana

Palanpur: A four-year-old case of a man allegedly raping his minor stepdaughter, then 16 years old, has come to light in the in Mehsana district’s Vijapur taluka after the girl lodged a complaint at the Ladol police station.

The accused took advantage of the girl being alone at home when her mother went to run her shop. He is accused of sexually assaulting the girl by threatening to kill her and her mother for several months since Dec 2022, the complaint stated.

The girl finally gathered courage and lodged the complaint. Her mother had remarried the accused.
