In Chhattisgarh's Bastar division, a woman Maoist was killed during an ongoing anti-Naxal operation in the forests bordering Narayanpur and Dantewada districts. Security forces, comprising the Special Task Force and District Reserve Guards, recovered the Maoist's body along with a weapon. The encounter occurred in the Thulthuli forest, the same location as a major operation in October 2024.

RAIPUR: A woman Maoist was killed in an ongoing encounter between security forces and Maoists as part of an anti-Naxal operation in forests bordering Narayanpur and Dantewada districts in Bastar division of Chhattisgarh on Friday. Security forces have recovered the Maoist body along with a weapon, police said.An encounter broke out with Maoists when a joint team of Special Task Force and District Reserve Guards (DRG) of Dantewada and Narayanpur districts were dispatched from respective camps to Thulthuli forest.This is the same forest where 38 Maoists were neutralized in one of the biggest encounters in October 2024.Officials said that further details will be divulged later as the operation is still on.
