Speaking at the UNGA, India reaffirmed that the Ukraine war cannot be resolved through fighting, only dialogue. PM Modi’s envoy Parvathaneni Harish said New Delhi stands ready to support credible diplomacy to end hostilities. He recalled Modi’s outreach to Putin, Zelensky, and European leaders, underscoring India’s commitment to peace. India also flagged how the conflict has triggered a global food and fuel crisis, particularly hurting the Global South. With humanitarian aid and mediation, India has emerged as a balancing force, showing the world that diplomacy, not violence, is the only sustainable path forward.
